Rocky: Rebrasse will just keep on the front foot

Frenchman Christopher Rebrasse will just keep on ‘the front foot’ when he clashes with Rocky Fielding in Liverpool on April 2 for the WBC International title.

The former European champion’s pedigree speaks for itself having taken both George Groves and Callum Smith the distance and his combative approach means Rocky knows he will have to deliver a fine performance if he is to go one better and stop the Frenchman inside the distance.

“He took Callum and George the full 12 rounds and as a former European Champion, he’s put in some great performances and will come to win,” explained Rocky.

“He will just keep on coming at you and try to stay on the front foot, it’s his style. If you look back at his record, he’s been in some very good fights and beaten some very good opponents, so it’s a really good test for me. It’s going to be another great occasion at the Echo Arena and I am fully expecting a very hard evening as he will want a battle.

“But I am fully prepared for that and will be ready for it. It will definitely bring out the best in me and I cannot wait. These last few weeks before a fight are always very exciting, but you have to keep calm and focus on the things you have been working on and start to put yourself mentally in a place where all you are thinking about is getting in the ring and your plan for the fight, nothing else.”

Rocky is proud to be making a donation towards the Alder Hey Children’s Charity for every ticket sold for the fight.

Alder Hey Children’s Charity provides vital funds to help make Alder Hey in the Park a truly world-class, patient-friendly hospital – making a crucial difference to the 275,000 patients and families who are cared for every year at the Liverpool hospital.
