Rocky Fielding will face John Ryder for the British Super Middleweight title at the Echo Arena, Liverpool on 22nd April.
It was announced at a press conference on Monday that WBC International champion Fielding and IBF International champion Ryder would collide with national pride at stake for the vacant Lonsdale belt.
Their showdown will take place on the undercard of Martin Murray’s clash against Gabriel Rosado.
Rocky, who last fought in October prior to becoming a father told the press conference: “My last fight was last October, and then my lad was born a week later.
“It gives you that extra bit of motivation, doesn’t it? That extra bit of drive to get the job done, knowing that you’ve got to provide.
“Ryder is a good opponent and I’ve watched him over the years. He’s just come off a good win and it’s a good fight and it’s adds a bit extra with it being for the British title. I’m really buzzing and looking forward to getting back out at the Echo Arena.”
