Rocky to face Zeller at Echo Arena – final few tickets available

Rocky Fielding is back in the ring on Saturday night when he faces Hungarian Super Middleweight Istvan Zeller at the Echo Arena in Liverpool.

Born in Budapest, 26-year-old Zeller boasts a record of 33 wins and he will face Fielding in an eight round contest.

And for home town fighter Fielding, it’s his first fight since he defeated Christopher Rebrasse in April and he can’t wait to get back into the the ring – despite the imminent arrival of his first child who is due on the same day as his bout which is on the same bill as Tony Bellew’s defence of his WBC World Cruiserweight title.

“It’s great to be back in action, especially on such a top bill in my home town,” said Rocky who still has a very limited number of tickets available for the Liverpool show which also includes four other titles fights on the bill – you can book by clicking here.

“It’s been a while since I’ve been in the ring but I can’t wait to get back now. I’ve had a few months off and now I can push on ad get back in the mix to push on for a world title. It’s now time to start getting involved in some title eliminators.

“I’m looking forward to this fight on Saturday and then maybe getting something else in a few months if things go well. It’s an eight-rounder to get me back into the swing of things and then we will take it from there.”

Rocky was last in action against Rebrasse, a fight that went the distance with the Liverpool fighter claiming the points victory.

“The Rebrasse fight was a tough fight and then I had a few family issues and there was a few months where I needed to concentrate on that,” added Rocky.

“Even though I got the win against Rebrasse, it was a very tough fight and I’ve looked back at it and worked on a few things such as going back to basics with my defence and getting in a lot of sparring and hopefully that will show on Saturday night.

“It’s a pretty busy time as we’re also expecting our first child and the due date is Saturday, so the phone is on all the time and I’m on stand-by. But it’s a really exciting time for me both in and out of the ring and I just can’t wait for the next few days to come for many different reasons.”
